How it started

Patrick Hansen while at CSFB HOLT realized that the value-add is not in BUY/SELL recommendations, but in asking clients what they want and then simply doing it. Custom Products was started at Lehman Brothers with the idea that there would be very little mass distribution and absolutely no redistribution. The thought being that we would give each client a truly bespoke product and then do the same for the next and next and so on. Fast forward and we are 12 years in and despite multiple Brokers trying to copy us no one else has got the model right.

Custom Products is an Independent Research Provider servicing Money Managers, Brokers and Industries outside of the Financial Community. Custom Products utilizes publicly available information to develop highly customized products on a client request basis. Unlike traditional Sell-side Research, Custom Products does not use a push strategy, but a pull. Clients only get what they want, when they want it making our products more valuable.

What further differentiates Custom Products from our competitors is the ability to service both Fundamental and Quantitative Investors with the same high level of quality. We are well versed in almost every Investment Strategy from long-term deep value to high-frequency technical charting.

Our goal is to work as a partner with our clients and become part of their Investment Strategy. Over the last 14 years due to our discretion and confidentiality we have developed a very strong relationship of trust on the street.
